For transparency sake, this is not a game you should play- unless you are curious.
A very rough version of what one day would be a narrative driven survival horror game with metroidvania elements, set in the wake of a nuclear disaster, you hunt as you struggle to quench the ever growing appetite of the your heart.
Poor balancing, unclear level design and no end goal or ending. Theres no save system and there are reports of AI behaving completely wrong

Are you still working on this because if so you should put a companion but it isnt really an, oh cute doggo its, if your my freind will you not rip me to shreds.

Tried to find Deer, but found smt cooler. Hard to understand where to go, bear was funny, monkey killed me 2 times. Nice
So wishbone, you used your voice for the deer in this game... did you also do the breathing for the cliché horror game death animation?

Hey, don't let this one go.. this game really could be something huge. in your description it sounds like you know what needs to be worked on.. i say just do it (trust me when i say it'll be worth it). and def put the game up on steam, id wishlist it so fast.
I can't figure out how to play this game I have an itch.io account and I have downloaded it to my folder but I still can't figure it out someone plz help me I have a Chromebook computer if that makes a difference.
The game is for windows, not chromebook!
Unfortunately you need windows for this one. A downside of chromebook is windows files don't really work in it.
If its your personal chromebook you can turn on developer mode and install wine on it and run the file on wine through the chromebook

great atmosphere, loved the mechanics that are present, only complaint being the difficulty to find the deer and the general unfinished state.
Amazing game dude, the atmosphere is incredible and the sound design creeps me the hell out.
Just some things to think about:
- It's pretty difficult to find the deer at the moment, I found myself running out of time quite a lot (I might just be terrible at finding things). While it does force you to adventure and look around the map a lot more, it can get frustrating.
- I would love to see some ambiance with the wendigo. Maybe some glowing eyes in the distance or breathing in your ear? I also think it would be cool to add a "Stalking" mode to the wendigo where it tries to hide behind trees or stays a certain distance away from you so you can barely see it (I know its buggy at the moment, but it seems to just spawn in and stand there)
- It would be cool if you could pick up traps after disarming them and place them down to potentially trap creatures. It could also help a bit with my first point by having the trap injure the animal and making the heart "Smell it's blood" (Telling you something triggered one of your traps). This could also be interesting if the Wendigo could bait you to a trap by purposefully setting it off?
Apart from some other bug fixes and adding settings and whatnot. This is such an awesome game, and I cant wait for a full release (Which you should definitely do).

Really awesome atmosphere! I'm curious about the moldy/bloody faced corpse and what you did to get that look? Any tips you have for recreating that texture style would be amazing! keep up the good work!

I used substance painter- i know that might be disheartening to hear because i know not everyone has access to it. But ill share a screenshot of the textures i used- they are all from creative cloud.
Also it doesnt look nearly as cool without any of the color grading, so unltimately your post processing and lighting will determine how good this thing looks.

Is this a bug or a "feature"? I did go outside off the map. Ether way a really good game and i enjoyed it a lot!

But hypothetically, if i were to "rework" this feature, could you tell me where you activated this feature?
Man, this is funniest answer i heard from game developer.
so i accessed the feature by spam jumping on a tilted building, scaling the wall to the top. It was a gray building with 2 rainbow things coming out of it. (Best description i got)Then I jumped off on top of a hill and walked as far as possible until all the mist disappeared. Maybe you could do a jump scare and death when walking towards the edge of the map, I was shitting my pants when walking because it felt like something would jump me.
I found this too. I took a right (I believe) outside of the heart area, before crossing the bridge. Went a ways until I found another fence. Climbed it by jumping and kept walking and walking. Suddenly the screen got REALLY bright and here I was lol. Very interesting.

The looks good but yeah same maybe you should ad sensitivity option where could adjust best of luck keep it up!

You should see the youtube video that details the creation of this game, from what's on there, it seems like its fine, it's got a really good atmosphere, not really too gory or creepy.
